Children are born believers in God, academic claims

See article: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/religion/3512686/Children-are-born-believers-in-God-academic-claims.html

The preponderance of scientific evidence for the past 10 years or so has shown that a lot more seems to be built into the natural development of children's minds than we once thought, including a predisposition to see the natural world as designed and purposeful and that some kind of intelligent being is behind that purpose.

This reminds me of the initial stage as defined by Imam Al-Haddad in his book "The Lives of Man", where he separates the life of every soul into 5 stages

1) Life before conception
2) Dunya - the lower world
3) The Intermediate Realm
4) Judgement Day
5) The fire and the Garden

In stage one we are reminded that our souls have testified to Allah and we born as believers...

When your Lord drew forth from the loins of the children of Adam their descendants and made them testify concerning themselves. Saying: Am I not your Lord? They said: “Yes, we testify to it.” (This) in case you say on the Day of Judgement, “We were unaware of this.” Or in case you say: It was our ancestors who made partners (with Allah) and we are only their descendants…[Surah Al-A’raaf 7:172-173]

... but alas, we loose this over time as we become ignorant with information.

What a difference half a degree makes?

Satellite data can suggest when and where epidemics will strike next

What the researchers at Goddard had notices at the time of the first outbreak was that in the months preceding it, surface temperatures in the equatorial part of the Indian Ocean had risen by half a degree. These higher temperatures brought heavy sustained rains, cloud cover and warmer air to much of Horn of Africa. Mosquitoes multiplied wildly-and lived long enough for the virus that causes the fever to develop to the point where it is easily transmissible. In September 2007 the researches saw the same thing happening in the ocean, and suspected the same consequences would follow.

Subhanallah. Its amazing how Allah has created this earth in complete balance and perfection as his mercy and rahma to all of us. It only takes half degree in sea temperature for the mechanics of an epidemic to cause hundreds if not thousands of deaths. So how important is the environment to you?

The blind heart

Eyes on the trophy and more, you want it, but if you don't push your heart on to it you wont see. Somebody said its the eyes that cant see if the heart in the chest is so dam blind.

How many of our hearts are blind from the reality of who we are?

Inner strength

Guantanamo has been the zealots triumph: during six excruciating years, several camp guards convert to Islam, but not a single inmate reaches for the Cross. Under the unblinking eye of evangelical in Ray-Bans and crew cut, the detainees may go insane, or may attempt suicide, but he is not defeated. Rome, he knows will fall in the end; God is with the tormented.

the container ...

Every vessel, every container will only poor out what is contained in it, that’s very obvious and so your tongue is your ability to express what lies in your spirit. Television, movies, the friends you hang out with, the music you listen to everything around you is environmental forces that shape, how your being is and how your heart is. When you open your mouth to speak it’s like your heart is a sponge that absorbs all this material from around you. Essentially what you’re doing is squeezing what is in you and what comes out is going to be what has been compiled in your mind and in your memory, obviously you can only express what’s in your heart with what has been placed in it. So in order for the outcome and output from the tongue to be positive then the input in that has to be positive in spirit, in silence, in talking and throughout our lives.
